Hey guys well here goes… my first eva blog.
What is a blog anyway?
I actually had to ask my 16 year old son, I really am starting to act my ripe old age of 40 when I have to ask my children what things are? Life just so isn’t fair, it passes way to fast I still feel 16 myself.
So by my understanding a blog is a form of storytelling, so to speak. A way for people to get to know you and get a feel for what you’re about and relate to your stories. So here goes, I can so do this. For anyone that knows me they would tell you I am a complete open book, nothing to hide here, I’m really not a private person I tend to talk about anything and everything about myself (not sure if that’s my strength or weakness) But funny enough for someone that can’t keep her mouth shut, putting my motor mouth into words has proven to be a bit of a challenge.
So why am I starting a blog anyway? Good bloody question! Thinking back to how I got here I’m totally pointing my finger to my beautiful friend Jo-anne McMillian from www.joanne.ie. Jo began as a client of mine in my Hair salon and fast became a good friend. Jo is one of those people that when you meet them for the first time you feel you have known them a lifetime. You know those type of people right…such a cool feeling when you find your kinda person. Jo works as a Psychotherapists and sound healer along with being a University lecturer, to be quite honest with you she has so many letters after her name my mind boggles. What impresses me most about Jo is her incredibly big heart. She’s the type of person that always puts others before herself, so kind hearted, she’s just such a warm generous person.
It was the time Jo spent in my salon chair she noticed my true passion for plant-based nutrition, well the way I see it she had no choice really, I chewed her ear off with every appointment. There is no escaping me when you’re in my salon chair… mmmwh ha ha haaaaaa!
Jo has this amazing way of pointing out your strengths and building your confidence to the point where you believe you can move mountains. I’m telling you guys everyone needs a Jo in their life. I’m just so grateful to call her my friend. It’s because of Jo I am sharing my little spoons of happiness with you all.
After 20 years of Hairdressing and only recently becoming a qualified Nutrition and lifestyle coach you can imagine I had no idea where to start. I mean seriously, I didn’t even know what a blog was?
So as the age old saying goes it’s not what you know it’s who you know, Jo put me in contact with the ever so talented Graphic designer and website developer Andre Somov from Insparion and it has been full steam ahead ever since. Myself and Andre have been working together on my little spoons of Happiness website and my branding material over the last few months. To say he has been patient with me is an understatement. I’m actually not sure if it’s a women thing? Or a Juanita thing? But you know when you don’t know what you want, but you definitely know what you don’t want. Well try and work with that! Andre has been incredible and such a professional. Andre is not only gifted in what he does, he is an absolute gentleman whilst doing it. I have learnt so much already along this new venture and I’m absolutely enjoying every step of the way, with Jo and Andre by my side I’m so excited to see what comes next.
So while I’m being thrown into this modern world of the internet, websites and blogs I vow to keep shit real and share all I know and hopefully inspire you guys along your own health journeys, and please as I said I’m an open book, so if there is anything you guys would like me to cover or touch on drop me your questions or suggestions below and I will do my very best to answer you guys.
Till next time little spooners… Mmmm…wha
Ps… Yay my first eva blog!!!!
